I am having problems with my spritz. I never can get the dough to come out without sticking. The only way to keep it from sticking is to make really big cookies and that isn't want a want. I would like a small cookie that doesn't stick. Do you have any tips to keep it from sticking?

I've tried many things. It is recommended that the cookie sheet be cold and not greased. I have also resorted to using a piece of flexible plastic to slide in and "cut off" the cookie once I have the amount I want. I really prefer smaller cookies, so I have the same problem. This year I solved it by not making any of these! That is a bit drastic, but sometimes you just have to do that. Good luck!

Last year I didn't make any, but I tried again and got the same problem. Maybe these are not meant for me to make.

I had that same problem last year. I ended up putting my cookie sheets outside to get nice and cold and cooling the dough a bit and that seemed to help. I did need to cool what I put in the spritz extruder every time for 5 to 10 minutes or it would be way to soft and sticky.

I used the recipe with cream cheese in it this year and a spritz gun. They were small and very nice.

I found that if I pressed down a little, they were more apt to stick to the sheet and release from the press. Of course, I have a press that doesn't have the little fit - so I could smash it as much/as close as needed.
