Mashmallows (post #63936)

Not sure if this should go in the baking section, so if it shouldn't, please let me know and I'll re-post it.

Has anyone tried "Pete's Gourmet Mallows" or "Plush Puffs" ?

How do they compare to homemade marshmallows?  Is it worth the money, or is it something you think I could make in my own kitchen?

I've never tried the marshmallows you mentioned, but homemade marshmallows are cheap and easy (and fun). Aberwacky's recipe has become my standard. (It's not in T&T but perhaps it should be!)

Food-forward parents like mine served dinners of homemade falafel, Mediterranean fish stew or stir-fried beef with broccoli. To me, dishes like spaghetti and meatballs, mashed potatoes with gravy and macaroni and cheese seemed exotic and unattainable. --Julia Moskin (NYT)

When I was young, all my friends were imaginary. Now that I'm older, all my friends are virtual.
