bread baking in advance

Is it better to bake bread completely, then freeze and re-heat?  Or can you partially bake the bread, freeze, and then finish the baking when you are ready for it?  Is the any difference?

   No expert here.  I would do with one of these two.
   1.  Bake it all the way and freeze it.  I know that there are loaves in the store that are take home and finish it, I know nothing about that.
   2.  Take it through the first rise, shape and freeze.  I've done this with success with sweet type breads and dinner rolls.
