Wow, chiqui, when do you sleep??
Could one of the toppings be a fruit mix of some sort w/simple syrup(whatever)/nuts/coconut flakes/mint/zest/cracked black pepper/vinaigrette/etc. that guests can pick and choose from?
Good luck! Sorry I'm no real help but cheesecake sure sounds good right now.

Turtle always works well - I make a thinnish caramel sauce, cool it, and spread it over the cake. On top of this, I press on chopped, toasted, pecans that have cooled to room temp. Then I melt bittersweet choc, cream, and a tad of butter together, cool a bit, and drizzle all over in either a line/crisscross pattern or circle. Always gets rave reviews!
Another good topping is a fudge-with toasted coconut pressed onto the last 1" (all around the edge)
As Kai says - any mixed fruit works well, as does lemon curd, mango sauce, etc.
Good Luck!

i two different toppings that the client can put on themselves.
Wouldn't they rather put them on the cheesecakes? (Couldn't resist, Chiqui)

Are they putting them on the whole cheesecake or do they want something for individual pieces as served?
I don't quite get the logistics of this--i.e., how much topping do you need to provide for each cake. Don't stop to answer now!!

I have to make two toppings they can put on their own serving of cheesecake....that way if they want plain.....boring....they can have it. It will sit in a bowl alongside the plain slices!! It has to be something they can pour on with a tablespoon..sorry I wasn't too clear...........
and Kai, sugah...I don't sleep!!!!!!

I am going to make a Mandarin Orange/ Fresh Strawberry with a touch of Grand Marinier for one.
I found some fresh figs (mission black ones) at the store this morning and really wanted to use these in another.....but I haven't a real clue just how to do it. Was thinking of making a simple syrup with a hint of lemon and floating a cinnamon stick for added flavor..then swish the figs , (wedges) around in it for a while to gently soften them....then maybe a drop of vanilla???????? Any suggestions??

If one is fruit, maybe the other ought to be a caramel or chocolate or something, for variety. How about a chocolate with coffee?

I agree with Astrid. I'd do one fruit, and one non-fruit. How about a flavored chocolate ganache - maybe with kahlua? coconut or hazelnut liqueur?

I agree with ya'll, too...but they asked for two fruit toppings...so I made a Strawberry/Mandarin Orange/ GrandMarinier sauce for one and a Caramel Apple one for the other....the caramel sauce came out PERFECT!!!! I doubled the amount of heavy cream to keep it pretty liquid for pouring. The Granny SMiths were a bit too tart for me so I added a bit of vanilla extract and it was just great!! I could eat it with a spoon!!LOL

Sounds delish, Chiqui - especially the Caramel Apple - how autumnal!

Well - it would help if I read these things ONLY after I have had my coffee! You can mix the turtle stuff all together and present as a side sauce. Sorry about my error, chiqui! :-) Blame my spaz Jazz dog - she had to go bad!!

Hmmm, let me get this right:
12:28am Oct 4, 2001 EST you wrote that "I need to come up with two toppings that will wow the clients...and the boss!!!!
10:04am Oct 4, 2001 EST [now, why this seems to be earlier than the first post is beyond me, but I'm just cutting/pasting] "I have to make two toppings they can put on their own serving of cheesecake....that way if they want plain.....boring....they can have it. It will sit in a bowl alongside the plain slices!! It has to be something they can pour on with a tablespoon.
02:15pm Oct 4, 2001 EST . . . they asked for two fruit toppings...
Sheesh, chiqui, you solved your own problem in a couple of hours and didn't need our help at all :-)

The recipes for these cheesecake topppings were not ever posted, as far as I know, and the discussions were back in 2001, so unless Wolvie or Chiqui notice your posts and do have a recipe, you only alternative is to try searching.
