Charleston SC dining suggestions (post #69722, reply #1 of 2)

For fine dining, McCrady's is impressive - 2 Unity Alley, www.mccradysrestaurant.com - they use lots of fresh local ingredients and the restaurant is in a historic building.   Monza (453 King Street) has fabulous pizza from a wood-fired oven.  Hominy Grill (207 Rutledge Ave, www.hominygrill.com) is a fun spot for southern fare.

SNOB (Slightly North of (post #69722, reply #2 of 2)

SNOB (Slightly North of Broad), Hank's, Fig, Circa 1876 (I think that's the name--it is in an historic home on the Battery), have a drink on the roof of the Peninsula Grill. Do NOT eat at Hyman's. Poogan's Porch has gone down, as has Magnolias. Fun seafood places over on Shem Creek in Mt. Pleasant on the water. Can't call any names.  Soft shell crabs are IN and delicious.

There isn't any way for you to know this as a new poster, but you might get more answers if posted in IPKE. This is an old old folder for things that regulars did a LONG time ago, and won't be checked very much.
