snowman cake
Here's a picture of the snowman cake (from the Whimsical Bakehouse book) I made for Christmas. It's also my MIL's birthday, so I left off the dots in the "sky" so that we could put candles on it. It's hard to tell from the picture, but it has the icicles and the polka dots on the sides.

Everybody needs this book. Once you get the hang of the chocolate, it's really simple. And her recipes for the cakes are delicious. I made a plain choc cake bundt cake for christmas day also (although no one ate it). After christmas I put it in the freezer and took it out for a party I had on the 30th and it was still delicious.
I love it!

Very cute. I was picturing the kind my mom made as a kid - with 3 round cakes so the whole thing was a flat snowman. Yours is cuter.

I did something like that for my son's 8th birthday. Made the top of it into a figure 8 racetrack, complete with Matchbox cars.
